I’m so glad you told me about this blog in your holiday letter. I feel like I’m traveling around on your shoulders or in your bag, getting a glimpse at how the Japanese live. So civilized and in the moment. How I would love to see the big box groceries of America explode and scatter into shops attended by grocers, fishmonger, bakers, cheese and wine sellers, and so on. You are on the precipice of something very important, madam.

The simple fact that the notebooks have “Specially Prepared in Tokyo” printed on them is a perfectly good reason to buy them. I would have done the same thing. I love fresh notebooks. But then I am afraid to use them.

These photos (and the accompanying song!) are really beautiful. Thanks for sharing your adventure in “scamming” the shop owners. :)
